Who we are

OSS Alternatives ("we", "us") is operated by Yusuke Morinaga (contact: [email protected]), based in Japan.

We publish directory pages sourced from public APIs: GitHub public API.

What data we collect

• **Server logs**: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, request path, response status) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Logs are retained per Cloudflare's standard policy and are not used for marketing or profiling.
• **Analytics**: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which collects anonymized visitor counts and page paths via a server-side, cookieless mechanism. No cross-site identifiers are set.
• **Advertising**: We have submitted the site for Google AdSense review and may serve advertisements through AdSense in the future. When AdSense is active, Google and its partners may set cookies on your device to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, and learn more about Google's data handling at Google's partner sites policy.

We do **not** sell your data. We do not track you across sites.

Cookies

When AdSense is active, Google may set cookies including `__gads`, `__gpi`, and `NID` for ad personalization, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser. Outside of AdSense, this site sets no first-party cookies.

Third-party links and data sources

Pages on this site link out to the public sources we index (GitHub public API) and to the projects they reference, and may embed assets from them (preview images, badges). Their privacy policies apply when you visit those services or when their assets load on our pages.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / APPI)

You may request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Because we do not maintain user accounts and do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for hosting, in most cases we have no personally identifiable data to return. We respond within 14 days of verifiable request.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, post a prominent notice on the site for at least 30 days.
